The images represented by Nick and Brenda were
all
created with the use of a camera and in the darkroom. Oil paint and water
color pigments are applied onto the emulsion of the black and white
photographic print enhancing the image and creating a unique look to each
piece of art.
Each image is hand printed and then
hand-tinted thereby making them all unique. Numbered editions were not
produced because of this reason.
We have found interest in what people put into this land,
what they put on a table that's by a window or a person’s
energy that is left in the surroundings. Random acts of
placement fascinate us. It challenges our interpretive
needs and desires to create unique photographs.
The beauty of the landscape that surrounds us flows
through the camera lens. Whether we step into this
scene or look through a window our feelings are framed
in the collage of nature and found scenes.
In our opinion, this has created a new way of
interpreting and seeing things in our mind’s eye creating
visual literature or poetry without
words.
